Project 2 : Matte Painting and Visual Effects

 Description and requirements
To create Matte Painting on 30-40 seconds live footage. Footages need to be shot by
individuals or picked from Royalty free stock video footage and implementation of visual
effects that will enhance the shot. Colour grading and layers are important. Final footage
must be believable (Must be relative to story, theme, genre and target audience selected.)

1080p Full HD

 Format:
H2.64, MPEG4 compression

Audio: 44.100 kHz Stereo

 Submission:
• Video softcopy (QuickTime, H2.64)
• Upload (Vimeo & YouTube) and embedded in Portfolio Blog
• Raw Project files [After Effects and Graphic elements used (Adobe Photoshop,
Adobe Illustrator, etc.)] with proper folder naming and with your registered Full Name
& Id no.


After briefing of the project, Mr Kannan asked us to come out with 5 drafts of matte painting and show it to him. After get the approval from Mr Kannan, we have to choose one out of five from the matte painting and proceed.

After that, I chose the fifth matte painting to proceed to my final outcome.

Wu Xin Ying 0328708 April 2018 - July 2018 Usability and Mobile Application II Module Outline Week 1  For the first week of the module, Mr Razif and Mr Kannan gave us an introduction and briefing on this module.  They brief and explain to us on our project and exercises that we need to done throughout the whole semester. After the briefing, we showed our final project of Usability & Mobile Application 1 that we did last semester to Mr Kannan. After showing to Mr Kannan, he said that the button and words are too big and need to be smaller. He also said that I need to readjust the spacing and consistency of the layout. He also suggested me to specify whether the apps is Android or Mac so that it will be convenient for user as some user may not familiar with certain operating system. Wu Xin Ying 0328708 April 2018 - July 2018 Design Research Dissertation Module Outline Lectures Week 1  (1/4/19) For the first week of the module, Dr. Hayati gave us an introduction and briefing on this module.  SHe brief and explain to us on our project and exercises that we need to done throughout the whole semester. After the briefing, she talk about the presentation that we need to done in this week. She told us to make some changes on the previous presentation slides we did last semester and explain that what we need to include in the presentation. After that, each of us have a consultation with Dr. Hayati one by one to discuss about our presentation slides.
