Week 1
On the first week of this module, Mr Kannan gave us an introduction and briefing about this module. He gave us some briefing about the assignments that we need to complete throughout the whole semester. After that, Mr Kannan showed us some of the works from senior.

Group Exercise:
We were divided into 2 groups and each group need to search for 3 title sequences and list down the pros and cons of them.

Week 2
For today's class, Mr Kannan gave us an introduction about Adobe After Effects. He taught us some useful shortcuts and told us to remember as it helps a lot for our assignments.

S - Scale
P - Position
M - Mask
T - Opacity
A - Anchor point / Light & Camera Attributes
Ctrl+S - Save
Ctrl+Shift+S - Save as
Hold+Space bar - Hand tool
E - Efx's
U - On / Off applied keyframes

Replacement of object / graphic / video elements
1. Make sure you highlight your layer on the timeline
2. Highlight image on project window
3. Hold+Alt drag & drop on the layer

After that, Mr Kannan gave us some tutorials about Adobe After Effects (Masking, Rotation, add  keyframes and so on). Mr Kannan told us to come out with animations according to the 12 principles of animation.

Week 2
For today's class, Mr Kannan gave us some guide to confirm our art direction.

Step 1: R&D
Do some research and take all the references and place them together on a board. Next, extract all the elements that we want and label them properly.

Step 2 : Moodboard
Make a moodboard with all the references and set your Font, Style, Color Palettes, and Design)

Step 3: Naration
Identify the flow of overall concept

Step 4: Thumbnails

Step 5: Story board
Create a story board by stating the actions, camera, and SFX of the scene clearly. Mr Kannan told us to use the arrow with different color to indicate the camera directions of the scenes.

Step 6: Animatics
Create an animatics by combine all the storyboards with the correct timing and pace of the ainimation.

Step 7: Final

Mr Kannan showed us some After Effects tutorials and taught us some tools in After Effects such as trim path, wiggle, loopOut ('cycle'), loopOut ('pingpong') and so on. He also showed us some example from internet and told us to make an animation that express our name.



Week 3
For today's class, Mr Kannan checked our progress on blog and told us to post all the progress on blog and make an animatics. After that, Mr Kannan taught us a tutorial on how to create an audio wave spectrum. He also told us to explore all the effects and presets on After Effects and try to apply them on our animations.
